Margaret Henry
Montgomery, NYMargaret Henry, a retired Inmate Record Coordinator for N.Y.S. Department of Corrections, died at Montgomery Nursing Facility with loved ones at her bedside. She returned to Our Lord on Friday, May 4, 2018 at 82 years of age.
The daughter of Patrick and Mary Morrin, she was born in Brooklyn on May 27, 1935. Margaret married Michael Henry on October 31, 1959 in Brooklyn NY and moved to Orange County in 1976. Margaret spent her life caring for others. Besides her own family, she showered love and support to many other children who were in need. Her life was spent in a very spiritual way and her faith never wavered even through difficult times. Our family is grateful to the Sisters of the Congregation of St. Pius V for their love and caring during this sad time.
She is survived by her children, Katherine Fish and her husband Scott of Highland Falls, NY, Pamela Slepoy and her husband Scott of New Windsor, NY, Deirdre McGinnis and her husband Shawn of Cary, NC, and son-in-law, Rick McConnell of Middletown NY as well as 7 beloved grandchildren; Meagan McConnell, Michael McConnell, Nicholas Slepoy, Steven Slepoy, Matthew Slepoy, Patrick McGinnis, Jonathan McGinnis and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband Michael, her daughter Monica and siblings Ellen, Jack, Bill & Tom.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 8, 2018 at the funeral home from 4-7 pm with a rosary at 5:30 pm. A Requiem Mass will be held on Wednesday, May 9, 2018 at 11:00am at St. Josephs Novitiate, 1275 Hearts Content Rd. Round Top, NY.
Attendants to the Mass are asked to dress modestly in accordance with the Church traditions. Burial will take place in St. Josephs Cemetery in Round Top, NY.
