Loving mother and grandmother, Lucy Palmira Rentas, passed away unexpectedly at age 76 on Tuesday, September 3, 2013 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown, NY.
Born on May 17, 1937 in Ponce, Puerto Rico, she was predeceased by her parents, Maria Dominga Pratts-Perez, Franciso Franco and her brother, Stephen Dumenigo.
Lucy’s survivors include her loving children and their families; daughter Anita Quiles-Babcock and husband Sean Babcock of Cary, N.C., son, Salvador Quiles, Jr. and wife Dina of Middletown, son, Felix Conde, Jr. and wife Doris of Erwin, NC, daughter Elaine Conde-Hanford and husband David of Rochester, NY and daughter, Carmen Conde at home.
Her loving grandchildren include: Alisha Marie Conde, Maia Quiles-Fisher, Miquela Quiles, Lucas Hanford, Sebastian Quiles, Aidan Hanford and Alexandra Conde.
Also surviving Lucy are her great Uncle Juan Rodriguez and wife Aida.
Viewing will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 between 9 and 11 am at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am Thursday at St. Joseph’s R.C. Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY. Thereafter, burial will follow at the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery, Middletown, NY. Arrangements are under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. www.applebee-mcphillips.com
