Lucy A Panetta
March 29,1933 - May 17, 2023
With much sadness we announce the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.
Lucy Panetta a long time resident of Middletown NY, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. She was 90 years old.
The daughter of Juana J Vasquez and Samuel Antonio Medina, she was born on March 29, 1933 in Bayamon Puerto Rico.
Lucy married her high school sweetheart Vincent Panetta Sr. They were married for 56 years and blessed with 3 daughters and 1 son.
She was a teaching assistant for 20 years with the Middletown school district.
She adored her children and grandchildren.She was the most loving, affectionate, giving and sweetest person. She touched the lives of many.
She loved music and dancing at the square with her sidekick Louise(Lulu)
Lucy is survived by her daughters Joanne, Louise, Maggie and son-in-law Richie.
Grandchildren Heather, Michael, Jessica, Justin, Danielle, David, Samantha & Brittany.
Great- grandchildren Ethan, Emma, Jonah & Cristian.
She is predeceased by her husband Vincent Panetta Sr., son Vincent Panetta Jr and her 5 siblings.
Her loving personality touched the lives of so many. She lit up the room with her beautiful smile and affection.
We love you mama! May you rest in everlasting peace! You are forever in our hearts!
The family wishes to thank you for all your love and support during this tremendous loss.
A Mass of Christian burial will be offered on Monday, May 22, 2023 at 11:00AM.at St. Joseph Church Middletown, NY. Interment will follow at St Joseph Cemetery, Middletown, NY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Applebee- McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY
