Lucia (Lucy) Camardelli, a longtime area resident, died on Friday, April 29, 2011 following a long illness at the Carlucci Home in Greenville, NY. She was 90.

The only daughter of the late Giacomo and Maria Carrano Oliva, she was born on February 18, 1921 in New York City. She married Raymond Camardelli on July 7, 1946 at Mt. Carmel Church in Manhattan. Lucy worked as an examiner for the Bronx Board of Elections and was a member of the Bronx Republican Club. She relocated from the Bronx to Maybrook in 1999 following her retirement. She was a member of the Maybrook Senior Club and Sons of Italy. She enjoyed traveling with her family and enjoyed visiting Florida, California, Las Vegas and especially Italy. Lucy has been a parishioner of Holy Name of Jesus Church since 2004.

She is survived by her children; Ralph and his wife Lauretta Camardelli of Somerset, NJ, and her daughters, Theresa Miller and her husband Dan of FLA and Jacqueline Leven and her husband Stanley of Queens. She is also survived by her grandchildren; Raymond, Camille, Nicole, Ralph, Stacie, Jessica, and Barbara and her great-grandchildren, Devam, Bradley,Tyler,Sejal and Annabella Lucia.

She was predeceased by her husband Raymond on October 8, 1984 and 7 brothers, Ernest, Pasquale, Albert, Orlando, William, Joseph and Enrico.

Visitation hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, May 2, 2011 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Tuesday, May 3, 2011 at Holy Name of Jesus Church, 45 Highland Avenue, Otisville, NY, Rev. Peter Tran van Phatt will officiate. Burial in the family plot will follow in St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx.
