Obituary for Loretta Talmadge
Loretta Talmadge, a lifelong resident of the area and beloved mom and grandmother, died after a short illness at Highland Rehab. Center in Middletown, NY on February 7, 2021. She was 90.
The daughter of Helen Tiffany and Edward J. McKeon, she was born in Middletown on September 13, 1930.
Loretta was a wonderful mom, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She would always make herself available for family, through any difficulties they encountered through their lives. Loretta was a gentle, down to earth, and loving person who enjoyed working with the children at her job as a Teacher’s Aide.
She is survived by her three children; Norman Talmadge Jr., Michael Talmadge, and Christopher Talmadge, all of Middletown, NY. Sister, Sharon McKeon Evans, two grandchildren, Michael C. Talmadge of Pine Bush, NY, and Michael J. Talmadge of Middletown, NY. Great grandchildren, Kristoffer, Anjalyna, and Loghan, all of Pine Bush, NY., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Loretta was predeceased by her husband Norman Sr. in 1980, daughter Loretta Talmadge in 1989, and sister Margaret Botens, in 2013.
The family would like to express their gratitude to the Highland Rehab nurses and staff for their care and her close friends who always kept her in their hearts.
Burial will be private and take place at the convenience of the family.
