Leila K. Ali, a Brooklyn resident, passed away peacefully at her loving daughter's home on Saturday, February 12, 2023. She was 77.
One of 11 children born to the late Charlie Khadaroo and Theodora Kokaram Khadaroo, Leila was born on August 30, 1945 in Trinidad. Leila was loving wife, mother and grandmother and was especially fond of her son-in-law. She adored all kinds of animals and enjoyed being with her family.
She is survived by her daughter, Fyza Reid and her husband Robert of Monroe and grandchildren, Bryan and Meghan Reid.
Visitation will be from 6 to 8 pm on Thursday, February 16, 2023 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Celebration of Life will be celebrated at 7:30 on Thursday at the funeral home. Cremation will be private.
Memorial contributions in Leila's name may be made to the Middletown Humane Society, 142 Bloomingburg Rd, Middletown, NY 10940 or to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas PlaceMemphis, TN 38105.
