Laurie Sauer, 59, of Middletown, NY, entered into the Kingdom of Heaven on September 22, 2021, following a valiant battle with cancer. Her final days were spent at home, surrounded by her loving family.
Laurie was born in Spring Valley, NY to Ruth and Bertram Deane Jr, who predeceased her. She graduated from Spring Valley High School in 1980 and went on to earn her LPN degree in Nursing from Orange-Ulster BOCES in Goshen, NY.
Laurie worked for many years at Horton Hospital, Orange Regional Medical Center, and most recently - ACCESS: Supports for Living. She was a kind, loving, and caring person who truly adored the people in her care. She had a deep love for God and was a member of Harmony Ministries Church.
Laurie is survived by her husband Mark, her daughter Kimberly, her sister Carol MacNamara, and many extended family members and friends whom she cherished. She was loved dearly and will be missed by all.
Per Laurie’s behest, services will be private.
The family would like to thank the West Team, of Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, for their devoted and compassionate services during her homecare.
