Obituary for Laura Gabriela Hernandez Moreno
Laura Gabriela Hernandez Moreno, of Middletown, NY passed peacefully on February 12, 2022, at the age of 47 surrounded by her daughter and husband during her last moments.
She is survived by her husband of 24 years, Alejandro Burgos, her daughter Anel Burgos, her father Rufino Alejandro Hernandez Corona, her sisters Veronica Hernandez and husband Oscar Mejia, Claudia Leticia Hernandez and husband Osman Gutierrez, Miriam Hernandez and husband Guillermo Ramirez Hernandez, her nephews Luis Gustavo Mejia, Oscar Mejia, Alexis Gutierrez, Dariel Gutierrez, and Miguel Ramirez Hernandez.
Laura was born in Izúcar de Matamoros, Puebla in Mexico on February 27, 1974 to beloved parents Guillermina Moreno Campos and Rufino Alejandro Hernandez Corona. She was the second oldest out of four sisters. She came to the U.S in 1997 along with her husband, Alejandro. They lived in New Jersey, Freehold, where she gave birth to her daughter and later moved to Middletown, NY. She was the most loving individual who was full of light and positivity, even during her toughest moments. Drawing and painting was her passion. She loved plants and planned to build a garden full of her favorite flowers. Her favorite dog, Kiara, was her companion and best friend, who passed five days before she did. She loved her family more than anything and will always be remembered. Her family plans to take her to Mexico, as she always wanted to visit her country again before she passed.
Visitation will be held at Applebee- McPhillips Funeral Home scheduled for Thursday, February 17 from 6-8. Mass will be held at St.Joseph’s Church in Middletown Friday, February 18 at 11:00 led by Father Kevin.
