Obituary for Larry R Purdy
Larry Purdy, of Middletown NY, passed away on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Garnet Medical Center. He was 61.
The son of Bill Purdy & Janette Miller Purdy, he was born on Dec. 3, 1960 in Middletown. He was the proprietor of Affordable Service, a heating and plumbing company he ran with his father, serving the residents of the county. A lifelong resident of the area, he attended Minisink Valley, participating on the cross-country team in high school. He was an avid collector of antique tractors and a staple at local tractor pulls for many years.
Survivors include his parents; wife, Robin (Silvernail); son Robert; daughter Aubrie; stepdaughter Jamie Tooker; brother Norman & his wife Barbara; nephews Scott and Eric Harris; niece Sarah Purdy; and grand-nephew Matthew.
He was predeceased by his sister Nancy.
There will be no visitation at this time, a memorial service will be held later at the family's convenience.
