Kyle Frederick Conselyea, 84, of Middletown, NY, passed away peacefully at home on Saturday, May 4th.
Kyle was predeceased by his mother, Mary (Hoschke); his father, William; sister, Wilma; brother, Billy; sister, Jean and niece, Brynn. Kyle is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Carol, with whom he shared five children: A son, Darin, his wife Tracey and their children Jake, McKenna and Grace; daughter Dara, her husband Scott and their children, Colin and Jillian; daughter Carrie, her husband Basil and their children Kyle and Maeve; daughter Kalyn, her husband Damien and their children Clodagh and Eóin; daughter Kaci, her husband Steve and their children Kameron and Kormack. Kyle was very close to his extended family, including nieces and nephews with whom he lived for many years as a young man: Bill, Kyle, Darcy and Kerry.
Kyle was born and grew up in Brooklyn, NY. He worked as a bank executive for JP Morgan Chase in New York City for 42 years, making the daily commute to a city he loved. Kyle was an avid hunter and fisherman, traveling throughout the US and abroad in search of a good catch. He volunteered in local hunting and fishing clubs and cherished opportunities to share his enthusiasm for the outdoors with his son, grandsons and friends.
Kyle was a proud veteran, having served as a military police officer for the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany, and he valued his mementos from that special time of service to his country.
Kyle will be remembered by all who knew him as an enthusiastic and prolific storyteller, quick to laugh and a big fan of a great dessert. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, May 9th at Applebees McPhillips Funeral Home in Middletown, NY for family and friends. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm.
