Kimberly Erin Pedersen, a lifetime area resident, died unexpectedly on July 26, 2017 at her home in Middletown. She was 27.
The beloved daughter of Norman and Maureen Wikfors Pedersen, Kimberly was born on February 13, 1990 in Westwood, NJ. Kim was a 2008 Middletown High School graduate, attended O.C.C.C. and received her Bachelor’s degree in Political Science from SUNY at Albany. She grew up in Goodwill Church in Montgomery. Kim recently became engaged to her longtime love, Christopher W. Korwan, who along with her parents, is devastated by her loss.
Kimberly was a bright and talented young woman, who loved cooking and gardening and the outdoors. She created artistic and delicious meals and gorgeous flower displays for herself and her friends to enjoy. She had a great sense of humor and was passionate in all her endeavors. She enjoyed political banter and stayed informed on all politically charged issues. Kim cherished her dog Spy, and was a big fan of the “Golden Girls”.
In addition to her parents, Norman and Maureen of Middletown, and her fiancé, Christopher of Westtown, she is survived by her brother, Matthew of Monroe and sister, Michelle of Farmington Hills, MI; Christopher’s parents Bill Korwan of Warwick and Debbie Korwan of Monroe, Christopher's sister and husband Karl and Heather Roecker of Warwick; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; and her loving church family including Pastors John Torres, Jose Rodriguez, and Josh Stewart.
Visitation will be held at Goodwill Church, 2135 NY-208, Montgomery, NY 12549 on Tuesday, August 1, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the church at 11 am on Wednesday, August 2, 2017; Pastors John Torres and Jose Rodriguez and visiting Bishop Greg Ortiz will officiate. Burial will follow in Goodwill Cemetery.
