Kenneth (Kenny) Ritter
April 18, 1937 – October 27, 2021
Kenny Ritter, a long-time resident of the area passed after battling cancer on Wednesday October 27th. He was 84. He was pre-deceased by his Bride of 63 years. Peggy, who was the love of his life.
Kenny was first and foremost a family man. He adored his Bride and was never far from her side. He worked as a plumber for many years. He was always ready to lend a hand and was happiest when helping his friends and family. He was an avid Hunter and fishermen; he was also a lifelong Yankees fan.
Kenny was pre-deceased by his parents Florence and Edward Ritter, brothers Danny, Richard, Jimmy, Eddie, sister Barbara (Bob) Hutcheon, and his son Ronald.
He leaves behind his children to cherish his memory: Kenny Jr., Denise (John) Mills, Robin (Tom) Heubach, Deborah and David. He also leaves behind his brothers Tom (Margie), Billy (Maryann), Warren (Diane), James (Debbie) Dougherty and two sisters Florence (Ann), Johanna (Bruce) Alexson, grandchildren; Erica Buccafusca, Natalie Buccafusca (Chris Zimmer) and Dana Dalton, Shannon, Richie and Katie Mills, , Tommy Heubach (Nicole) and Jessica Heubach; his great-grandchildren Gianna Brick, Alyana Velsor, R.J. and Charlotte Bronte, Aiden Dunn, Haleigh, Camryn, and Mackenzie Heubach; many nieces, nephews, and dear friends. He also leaves behind his girls, (cats) Claire and Shorty.
Kenny was pre-deceased by his parents Florence and Edward Ritter, brothers Danny, Richard, Jimmy, Eddie, sister Barbara (Bob) Hutcheon, and his son Ronald.
Visitation will be held from 6 – 8 pm on Monday 11/1/2021 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave., Middletown, NY 10940.
A Graveside Service will take place on Tuesday, 11/2/21, 2:30 pm, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Montgomery NY.
A celebration of Kenneth’s life will be held at the Wildfire Grill, 74 Clinton St., Montgomery NY at 3pm, immediately following the cemetery service.
