Obituary for Kathryn Mary Campilonga
Kathryn Mary Campilonga passed away in Kaplan Family Hospice Residence of Newburgh NY on January 23, 2018
Kathryn was born on February 23, 1943 in Queens NY, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Campilonga. She worked for NYS for 25 years, in various positions; Middletown Psychiatric facility as a dental assistant, division for youth as a youth division counselor then she retired after 12 years from Mid-Hudson Forensic Psychiatric Center as a SHTA.
Kathryn enjoyed staying physically active throughout her life. She was an accomplished rollerblader, was part of a roller derby, and ran a roller rink at one time. Kathryn also ran many 5Ks and played softball on her son Tio's softball team.
She is survived by her three children; Tio Schluter III and his wife Jennifer of Westtown NY, Michael Schluter of Middletown NY, and Niccole Bernstein and husband Marc of Orlando FL.
She is also survived by her brother Frank Campilonga and his wife Margaret of Scotchtown NY, two nieces Elaine Torrance-Gingrich and Leslie Campilonga ; Five beloved grandchildren; Troy Schluter, Tio Schluter IV, Ethan Mullamphy, Giavonna Bernstein and Jase Schluter.
She was predeceased by her brother Lenny and his wife Elsa Campilonga.
