Karl E. Bernhardsen, 61, died at home surrounded by his family in Greenville, New York on the evening of Thursday, August 17th 2023 after a long fight with cancer. Born in Brooklyn, NY to Willard K. and Helen (Bjorkstrom) Bernhardsen. He is survived by his wife Patrica Bernhardsen, children Karl Eric Bernhardsen and Molly Bernhardsen, his brother David (Theresa) Bernhardsen, sister Linnea Vail, sister-in-law Sandy (Skip) Loveland, many beloved nieces and nephews as well as his co-workers at Resorts World Catskills who provided purposeful days and deeply appreciated friendship through his final days. He is predeceased by his parents and brothers Willard Bernhardsen and Keith Bernhardsen. A memorial gathering will be held for family and friends at the American Legion Post 151 at 185 Wawayanda Ave, Middletown, NY 10940 on Sunday August 27 from 1:00pm.to 4:00pm.
