Middletown, NY
June Marino, a Longtime resident of Middletown, died surrounded by her family after a long illness at Garnet Medical Center on October 17, 2022. She was 73.
The daughter of William and Dorothy Barnett Piacitelli, she was born on June 9, 1949 in the Bronx.
She married the love of her life, Robert Marino on October 12, 1968 and together they raised two sons that were their pride and joy.
June was someone who put others before herself. She was the ultimate caregiver, a generous and positive woman who loved life. At home with family, she was a great cook, a gracious hostess and had a wonderful sense of humor. June worked as an Activities Director at the Montgomery Nursing Home, a job she loved and one that endeared her to residents and their families. We are left with memories of her funny antics and spontaneous dances that will keep a smile with us forever.
June is survived by her devoted husband, Robert, at home, her sons; Robert (Bobby) and his wife Laurel of Bloomingburg and Christopher (Chris) of Boston, MA, three cherished grandchildren; A.J., Peyton and Giacomo and a brother, William and his wife Betty Piacitelli of Conn many wonderful nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents and one sister, Joyce Van de Wouwer.
