Judith Angela Hayes of Middletown NY, died on Monday November 1 at Middletown, NY. She was 69.
The daughter of the late Kenneth and the late Frances Kolodziejski Fish she was born on September 21, 1941 in Goshen, NY.
Judy worked in Collections for Frontier Communications in Middletown. She was compassionate, loving and proud of her whole family. Having raised five boys, she was firm and loving but never put up with nonsense. Me Ma to her grandchildren, she was always generous and giving. Judy was a second generation seamstress; and was very creative. She loved to sew; she made curtains for everyone's house, wedding dresses, baby blankets and lots of quilts. She loved cruising with her husband and they were fortunate enough to have traveled alot throughout the country together. She was both an avid Mets fan and doll collector.
She is survived by her loving husband Ken at home; and five sons, Edward Szuleski of Willard, David Szulewski and his companion Rose of Warwick, Stephen Szulewski and his wife Rebecca of Newburgh, William Szulewski and his wife Deb of Shohola, PA, John Hughes of Monroe, and Kenneth Hayes, Jr of Endicott, NY; and five daughters, Kimberly Hayes of Wurtsboro, Dawn Hook and her husband Edward of Pine Bush, Danielle Gubrud of Arkansas; Anastasia and her husband Roland of New Orleans and Kristina White and her husband Douglas of Italy;Â brother John Fish and his wife Mary of Florida, NY; grandchildren, Jaimee, CLaire, Brad, Eric, Scott, Anna, Erica, Ryan, Tabetha, Tabitha, Eva, Destiny, Tyler, Raymond, Ashley, Felicia, Katrina, Shyla, Katie, and Cory., as well as several nieces and nephews.
Memorial contributions in Judy's name may be made to The Orange County Mental Health Association Autism Moveathon www.mhaorange-ny.com. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Ave, Middletown, NY 10940.
Visitation will be held later at the funeral home on Wednesday, November 3, 2010 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm.
