Obituary for Joyce A. Kilduff
Joyce A. Kilduff, a longtime area resident passed away Sunday, September 24, 2006 at St. Anthony’s Hospital in Warwick.  She was 72 years old. The daughter of the late Elizabeth Heyer, she was born April 26, 1934 in the Bronx, New York. She married her beloved husband, Thomas on September 10, 1955 at Holy Name Church in the Bronx.  Together with their children, they moved into the area in 1973. For many years she worked as a waitress at Friendly’s in Middletown, where she enjoyed seeing her regular customers as well as meeting new ones. A family statement reads, “Her family was her life, especially her grandsons.  The love she had for all of us was immeasurable.  She will be forever remembered and missed.” Joyce is survived by her husband, Thomas, at home, four loving children Thomas and his wife, Jana, of Pa, Michael of Pa, Kevin of NJ, and Patty VanWagnor and her husband, Ace, of Va; and two cherished grandsons, Patrick and John. She was predeceased by one sister. Family and friends may visit on Tuesday, September 26, 2006 from 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc. 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday, September 27, at 9:30 am at St. Joseph’s RC Church, 149 Cottage Street in Middletown. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery. Memorial contributions in Joyce’s name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 419 East Main Street, Middletown, New York 10940.Arrangements under the direction of Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
