Josephine VanSickle of Middletown NY, died on Friday January 21 at Middletown Park Manor. She was 94.
The eldest daughter of the late Joseph and Elizabeth Weyrick Ruppert's eight children, she was born on November 22, 1916 in Circleville, NY. Josephine spent her lifetime in the Middletown area. She worked for Manhattan Shirt in Middletown.
Josephine is survived by two brothers, Joseph and Walter Ruppert, both of Middletown and one sister, Anna Kerns of Tenn.; one godson, Donald Dwyer; and several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her first husband, Jesse Clark Vance, and her second husband, Hilton Van Sickle; and three brothers, Emil, Frank and George and a sister, Venta Ott.
Cremation will be private. Burial of ashes will take place in the Vance family plot in the springtime in Wallkill Cemetery, Middletown.
