Obituary for Joseph Schrade, II
"Joseph Schrade, II, passed away peacefully at home on May 7, 2021. He was 79.

The son of the late William and Virginia Clemson Schrade, he was born in Middletown NY on October 14, 1941.

Joseph attended The Lawrenceville School from 1955-1959 in Lawrenceville NJ, where he was an All-American Swimmer, and awarded the school's prestigious Math award during his Junior year. After graduating from Lawrenceville he was accepted to the only university he applied to, the Massachusetts Institute of Technology where he graduated in 1963 with a Bachelors Science in Metallurgy.

He married the love of his life Susan Damrell at Christ Church in Plymouth, MA, in 1963.

Joseph entered the Navy in 1963, and became a Naval Flight Officer for Vietnam and proudly served our country until 1970. After being honorably discharged from the Navy, he attended Northeastern University Law School where he earned a Juris Doctorate in 1974.

After Law School, he went home to work for the family business at Clemson Brothers Saw Manufacturing Company as a Metallurgist and company Treasurer.

Joseph had an affinity for trains and planes. He loved riding trains and knew all about the railroad system, and where they all lead to. In his free time, he was a private pilot, even owned 4 planes during his lifetime. Above all, he was a loving husband and father.

Joseph is survived by his children, Charlotte Beaudry and husband Thomas, and son William A. Schrade II and wife Kristi. Sisters, Caroline DeWilde and husband David, and Ginger O’Keefe and husband Michael. Grandchildren, Dakota William Beaudry, Timothy James Schrade, Jack Robertson Schrade, and Grant Joseph Schrade. In addition to his parents, he is predeceased by his wife, Susan Schrade, and brother Richard Schrade.

A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, May 15, 2021, 11:00 am, at Grace Episcopal Church Parish, 58 North St, Middletown, NY. "
