On Sunday May 2nd, 2021, Joseph M. Sotelo entered into eternal rest with the Lord after a courageous battle with cancer. Joseph was born on February 20th, 1957 in Middletown, NY to Marion A. Sotelo and the late Joseph F. Sotelo.
He attended St. Joseph’s School and was a graduate of Middletown High School. He graduated from the Gemological Institute of America and became a Certified Diamond Appraiser. Joseph worked for JCPenny as a jewelry buyer for many years before working as a service advisor for Formula H Motorworks for 13 years. He was an avid bowler and a member of the Elks Club, lodge 1097 for 40 years.
Joseph is survived by his mother Marion A. Sotelo, his daughter Nicole Sotelo (Omar), Granddaughter Amelia Green, step daughter Jamie DeRosia, and his sisters Debra Forde and Kathy Polanco (Tony). He is also survived by his nieces and nephew, Andrea, Alexis, Danielle, and Justin and his good friend Toby Weale. He is predeceased by his father Joseph F. Sotelo and his brother in law Herman Forde.
