Obituary for John W. Reilly
John "Jack" W. Reilly sadly passed away on Saturday February 29, 2020 (leap day-- he wouldn't have it any other way).
Jack was born on February 21, 1956 in Brooklyn, NY to John and Jane (Freudig) Reilly. Jack grew up in Warwick, NY and later moved to Boca Raton, FL where he graduated high school. Jack was employed as a butcher by Glass Gardens Shop Rite for 38 years before retiring in 2015.
He is survived by his loving wife Mary, his rock, who remained by his side for 29 years, his three sons J.R. (Stacey), Jason and Jamee, and his grandchildren, John William and Brianna Mae. Jack is also survived by his brothers, Kevin and Brian, and his aunts, Marilynn and Kathy (the sisters he never had) and many nieces and nephews.
He is predeceased by his parents, John and Jane.
Jack, an avid Cowboys fan, took pleasure in annoying as many football fans as he could with his favorite saying, "How 'bout dem Cowboys?!"
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 pm on Wednesday, March 4, 2020 at Applebee-McPhillps Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Service will be held at 10 am at the funeral home on Thursday, March 5. Cremation will be private.
