Obituary for John S Coppeletti
John S. Coppeletti of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving
family on February 11th, 2023.
He was the son of John and Lena Coppeletti, born in the Bronx on November 6th, 1957.
John was an Operating Engineer at CBS in NYC for 37 wonderful years. He also provided
valuable knowledge to the local real estate offices with his expertise in home inspections.
An avid Yankee Fan, John never missed an Opening Day at the Stadium. He most enjoyed
meticulously manicuring his beautiful lawn and playing with their cats: Luna, Paulie, Chai.
John’s greatest joy was his family. Spending time with his wife Tammy and daughters Julianne
and Olivia were among his favorite things to do. He was their rock, always there with love and
encouragement. They enjoyed going to the beach, watching movies, having barbeques with
friends, hosting extraordinary Halloween parties, and watching the sunsets from their deck
while listening to Frank Sinatra and Elvis.
John is survived by his loving wife Tammy of 31 years, his daughters Julianne and Olivia, his
sisters Loretta (Vito) Illustrato and Linda Greco, Brother and Sister-in-laws, and numerous
nieces and nephews.
A kinder heart, a more devoted friend, and a warmer smile you couldn’t find. John was all of
those things and more.
We will miss the gentle giant of our family. Johnny, please take our hearts with you as we
will always have yours.

Visitation will be held at the Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Ave Middletown, NY on Thursday, February 16, 2023 from 4Pm to 6Pm.
A funeral Service will be at the Immaculate Conception Church at 754 E Gun Hill Rd, Bronx, NY on
Friday, February 17, 2023 at 11:15Am.
