The beloved son of Walter and Grace Chesko, passed over to his Lord Jesus Christ on May 17, 2017 at home. He was 67.
He served his Country in the Marine Corps. During Vietnam. John loved life and had many friends. He retired from Orange County Highway Dept. and enjoyed fishing with his best friends, Dan Bloom, Ed Cawein, Big Charlie and the gang at the garage and so many others. He was loved by so many and had a big heart.
He is survived by his mother, Grace Chesko; sisters, Mary Chesko, Susan Bloom, and Anna Pennings, niece Melissa Mance; nephews, Keith Nichol, Jessie Baily and great-niece Michaela Bailey, and many cousins.
He was predeceased by his father Walter Chesko and wife Marsha Vavricka Chesko, who he loved dearly.
Cremation was private. Burial with Military honors will take place at 10 am on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at Orange County Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Road, Goshen, NY 10924. The Patriot Guard procession will leave 160 Blumel Road, Middletown, NY 10941 at 9:30 am to process for final ceremonies at the cemetery.
Memorial contributions in John’s name may be made to the Goshen Humane Society, 44 Police Drive, Goshen, NY 10924.
