John loved his family and farming. He enjoyed working on the farm with his father and his brothers, Peter and Kenneth. When his children were old enough, John loved having them work along side him on the farm. He loved sitting around the kitchen table telling stories to whoever would listen about his youth, the family, farming, politics, and whatever else he had on his mind. Dad enjoyed family time at Mohican Lake and his beloved boat “Starfire”. John loved Saturday nights dining at Archie’s Inn and later at the Jolly Onion Inn, where a prime rib was always waiting for him.
