John Andrew Golebiowski

John Golebiowski, beloved husband, son, brother, grandson, and uncle, was asked to join the Lord on December 13, 2020 at the age of 33.
John was born on April 17, 1987 in Goshen, NY to Daniel and Deborah Lee Rolff Golebiowski and grew up in the Town of Mt. Hope, where he met his only love, Sarah LaVine. They were married on January 18, 2020. John played in the Otisville Baseball League and Minisink High School Varsity Football Team. He attended BOCES in Goshen for graphic design, graduated from Minisink High School and Orange County Community College. He worked for RAL Plumbing, Cardinal Health and Hudson Valley Coach Bus Lines, prior to being laid off due to the pandemic. He was an avid Yankees fan and loved to be with his family.
He is survived by his wife Sarah LaVine of Wurtsboro, his father Daniel Golebiowski of Mt. Hope, brothers, William of Southbury, CT, Thomas and his wife Kimberly Finn Golebiowski of Highland Mills, NY, and Joseph of Mt. Hope, sister Catherine Harget and her husband Christopher of Bloomingburg, and his maternal grandmother, Betty McPhearson of Etowah, NC. He is also survived by his nieces, Ella and Zoey Harget; nephews, Cameron and Aaron King, Jr; father-in-law Robert LaVine of Middletown, mother-in-law Betsy LaVine of Wurtsboro, sister-in-law Heather LaVine; brother-in-law Aaron King; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
John was predeceased by his mother, Deborah Lee Rolff Golebiowski and his maternal grandfather William Rolff as well as both paternal grandparents, Boleslaw and Helen Pospiszel Golebiowski.
Visitation will be from 4 to 7 pm on Thursday, December 17, 2020 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. Visitation will also take place on Friday, December 18, 2020 from 9 am to 10 am at the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, Carmelite Drive, Middletown, NY 10940. Rev. Timothy Ennis, O. Carm. will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial for John at 10 am on Friday, December 18, 2020 at the National Shrine. Burial will be private at St. Joseph's Cemetery, due to cemetery regulations. Due to Covid 19 restrictions, face coverings and social distancing must be observed at all times during services.
The extended family would like to offer their most heartfelt gratitude to Garnet Health Medical Center, the Mamakating EMT and MEDIC who helped to care for John.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in John's name to the National Shrine of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel, 70 Carmelite Drive, Middletown, NY 10940 or to a charity of one's choice.
