Obituary for Jennifer L Sanders
Jennifer (Listwon) Sanders, of Bloomingburg passed away peacefully at the age of 57 on June 24, 2022.
She was born on March 17th1965 in Middletown NY to Leon J. Listwon and Margaret J. (Cohn) Listwon. Jennifer was the youngest of nine siblings.
Jennifer was fiercely independent, strong willed, and resilient. A mother of five and grandmother of six, she always had advice to dispense or support to lend.
She was incredibly resourceful and some of her many creative outlets included gardening, sewing, crocheting, and painting. She was an avid gardener and expert crochetiere and passed those talents on too many of her children and granddaughters.
Jennifer spent much time tracing the genealogy of her family and capped off her extensive research with a whirlwind trip to Poland and London. She was an animal lover, whether it was a family pet or an orca in the wild.
Jennifer is survived by her five children, Joseph Sanders (Rosanna), Robert Sanders (Nimdoma) both of Bloomingburg, Christine Sanders of Williamsburg NY, M’Lissa (Lee) Jones of Fayetteville TN, and Andrew Sanders of Bushwick NY. She is also survived by her six adoring granddaughters Evangeline Sanders, Adeline Sanders, Emma Jones, Margaret Jones, Carrie Jones, Diana Sanders; and her siblings Michael Listwon (Glezel), Noreen Listwon, April Sinnock (Les), Mary Mattinson (Patrick) and Laura Stevens (Richard), and many loving extended family members.
She was predeceased by her parents Leon and Margaret Listwon, sister Margaret (Listwon) Ogawa, and older brothers Vincent and Richard Listwon.
A private memorial service will be held at the family’s convenience.
