Jeanette B. Dassori died on June 20, 2022 in Northern Dutchess Hospital, Rhinebeck, NY. She was 86 years old.
On December 21, 1935 she was born to Guy Buckingham Freeman and Maude Sylvia Demeree in the town of Sanford, Broome County, NY. On December 1, 1956 in St. Joseph's Church, Middletown, NY, she married Arthur J. Dassori who predeceased her in 2008.
Jeanette is also survived by her daughter, Sharon Dassori-Valdivieso and son-in-law, Carlos Valdivieso of Clinton Corners, NY. She is also survived by her two granddaughters, Rachel Williams of Windsor, CT and Rebecca Valdivieso of Clinton Corners, NY. In addition, she is also survived by her nephew, Harold Dassori of Middletown, NY and niece, Diane King of Middletown, NY. Jeanette's brother, Earl Freeman, predeceased her and her two cousins, Ethel Davis of Middletown, NY and Ada Collins of Harpursville, NY predeceased her as well.
She was a computer operator for Lloyd's Shopping Centers for 20 years. The love of her life was her husband, Arthur J. Dassori, whom she cared for tirelessly and lovingly for many years during his illness. They were inseparable and could often be seen at the Colonial Diner in Middletown for their morning breakfast. Jeanette was also a wonderful mother who gave of her time, support, and unconditional love to her children. She was also known as "Gammy" to her granddaughters, who had many wonderful, loving memories of the time she spent with them.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, June 23 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home 130 Highland Avenue Middletown, NY 10940. Funeral services will be held on Friday, June 24 at Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home at 11am. Burial will be held June 24 at the Veterans Cemetery, 111 Craigville Rd, Goshen, NY.
