Obituary for Jason Zuclich
Jason Andrew Zuclich
February 9, 1969- September 9, 2021
Jason Andrew Zuclich, 52 died Thursday, September 9th at Garnet Health Medical Center, following an accident at his home. His family is devastated by his unexpected death.

Jason was born in Middletown, New York, in the middle of a three day Nor’easter.

He attended schools in Middletown and Minisink Valley. He always loved sports, and was an avid and talented soccer player in his youth. He loved a competitive Ice Hockey match with his brother Eric and neighborhood friends. Jason enjoyed playing softball at Davidge Park. He played for Middletown’s Wallkill Engine Company #6 Team and was a former volunteer firefighter for them. Jason was a lifelong, loyal Yankee fan, but he was most passionate about his New York Rangers. Jason had a great sense of humor. He loved a good joke and had an infectious laugh, especially when he found something funny- which was often!

He was clever, kind and had a beautiful soul. We will miss him dearly. Jason was a beloved husband, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend.
He is survived by his wife of 20 years, Melissa, of Middletown; his brothers; Eric of Central Valley, New York and Andrew of Sussex, New Jersey, his parents Linda Zuclich and Tyler Etzel of Central Valley, New York, John and Ruth Zuclich, his nieces Allison and Elizabeth Zuclich of Middletown, His Aunt Mary Ann Della Pia (Carmen) of Slate Hill, New York, his Uncle Ed (Lisa Frueh) of Bowie, Maryland, his cousins Dean and Dale Kurdyla, Lexi and Max Kurdyla, Jeremy Della Pia and his cousin and close friend, Leslie McKenzie.
Jason also had family in South Carolina. He is also survived by his father-in-law John Fidurski of Summerville, South Carolina, his sisters-in-law Marlys Modica (Matthew) and Gail Bozydai of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, and his nieces Katla Bozaydai and Rebecca and Nicole Sheman of Summerville, South Carolina. Jason is pre-deceased by his grandparents Ruth and Ed Kurdyla and Grace and Anthony Zuclich.
The family would like to thank the Doctors and Nurses and Staff at Garnet Health for their professional and compassionate care of Jason.
Services will be private.
Memorial Contributions, in Jason’s name, may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties, 800 Stone Brook Court, Newburgh, New York 12550
