Obituary for Jason Niles Horner
Jason Niles Horner of Fishkill, NY died unexpectantly on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at St. Luke’s Hospital in Newburgh. He was 31.

The son of Jerry Horner and Vicki Niles, he was born December 31, 1974 in Middletown, our New Years Eve baby.

He was raised in the Howells and Otisville area and returned after college to the Fishkill area where he met Edie DiScipio, the love of his life.

A 1993 graduate of Minisink Valley Highschool, he attended O.C.C.C. for two years and received his degree in Sports Management from North Carolina State, where he was a member of the 1998 National Flag Football Championship. After college he worked with Raleigh, N.C. Parks and Recreation Youth Programs. He then was employed by Merisel Corporation and Cisco Systems of Raleigh in product management. Recently returning to the area, he was employed by Diagnostics of Miami, FL as a tech rep for the North East. Also along with his companion Edie, and her son Ryan, was expanding the business he started and loved, Smoothie Infusion “ A Drink With A Purpose”.

Jason was full of life as attested by his many friends both young and old.

In his short time on the earth, Jason touched many friends and family members with his fun, loving personality, and unrelentless charm. He loved life and sports, and lived both to the fullest. He was wonderful at providing encouragement, strength, and support in recent times of sorrow. He will be missed greatly by all who knew him; his family, relatives, his many friends from the area as well as the southern states, and his college days that meant so much to him.

In addition to his Mother of Middletown and his father and his wife, Diane of Otisville, Jason is survived by his sister Sherri Tironi, her husband Mark and their two children, Dominick and Marinna of Howells; his sister Sara Horner of Dallas, TX; sister Selina Horner of Otisville; brother Jeffrey Horner and his wife Julia of Hackettstown, NJ and brother Josh Horner of Otisville; one half-brother, Todd Fitch and his wife Judy of Warren, PA; his maternal step-grandmother, Alice Butler of Key Largo, FL; paternal grandmother, Ruth Horner of Frewsburg, NY along with many cousins, aunts, uncles and relatives from all over.
