Obituary for Janet Ruth Stiles
Janet Ruth Stiles 86, of Middletown, NY passed away peacefully on June 27th at home. The daughter of Porter and Louise Wright, Janet grew up in Medusa NY. She was an RN and worked for many years at the Middletown Day Nursery. Janet loved reading, gardening, playing the piano, but most of all … being “Grandma Janet“ She is predeceased by her loving husband, Rev. Stuart Stiles Jr. She is survived by her brother, Allyn Wright, her children Jeffrey & Margaret Stiles of Holland, PA, Gregory & Iris Stiles of Middletown, and Nadine & Bryan Riggs of Milanville, PA.
Grandchildren - Jennifer, Stefanie, Samantha, Andre, Michelle, James, and Valerie. Great-grandchildren - Penelope, Camilla, Sofia, Abigail, and Evelyn. As well as many loving nieces are nephews. Janet lived a long and happy life. Following a family tradition, she donated her body to the Weill Cornell Medical College’s Anatomical Gift Program.
A memorial service will be held on August 1st, from 11-1 at Applebee - McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Ave. Middletown, NY.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
