James Talleos
James Talleos, died peacefully at Kaplan House in Newburgh, New York on August 21, 2024. He was 88 years.
The son of the late Spiros and Eleni Nasou Talleos, he was born on September 15, 1935 in New York City.
James had a great sense of humor providing his family with much love and laughter. He loved his family immensely and enjoyed participating and helping with the Greek Orthodox Festival, Easter and Thanksgiving with family.
He is survived by his brother; Fr. Chris Talleos, two sisters; Alexandra Gikas and Margaret Rouskas; his sister-in-law; Mary Talleos, as well as nieces and nephews; Christina, Barbara, Steve, Matthew, Mary, Peter, John, Matthew, Timothy, Eleni, Eric,Helen, Chris, Diana, Angelika, Constantine, Chris, Eleni and Mark. He was predeceased by one brother; Gus.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 28, 2024 at Appelbee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY from 6:00-800 PM.
A Mass will be celebrated at Holy Cross Greek Orthodox Church on Thursday, August 29, 2024 at 11:00 AM.
Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Hastings on Hudson, 50 Jackson Avenue, Hastings on Hudson, New York.
