James “J.J.” Ricciardi of Slate Hill died unexpectedly on Friday, November 9, 2012 at home. He was 27.
The son of Thomas J. Ricciardi and Kim E. Edwards Ricciardi, he was born on July 16, 1985 in Middletown. J.J. graduated from Minisink Valley High School, Class of 2002.
J.J. loved people and the feeling was mutual, everyone was his friend. He will be missed by all.
He is survived by his father, Thomas and his mother, Kim; one brother, Derek and his wife Angela and one sister, Kelsey Doland; his grandmother, Helen Ricciardi and grandfather Joseph Edwards. He is also survived by several aunts, uncles and cousins and many loving friends.
Visitation will be today, Wednesday, November 14, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am at Holy Cross R.C. Church, 626 Co. Rt. 22, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in Ridgebury Rural Cemetery, Ridgebury Road, Slate Hill NY.
