Jim also donated his time and talent for several 9/11 memorial services.

A family statement reads: "Jim was a man who was comfortable with himself and expected everyone to love him.and they did. He was proud of his Irish heritage as well as his family. He was a generous man whose many gifts to others will not be forgotten."

His first trip to Ireland rekindled in him a love for all things Irish and he played his bagpipes on the Cliffs of Moher, and at the Bru Boru Center.
