Obituary for Jacqueline Rose McGrath
Jacqueline was known by her loved ones as Jackie. Jackie was born at Jewish Memorial Hospital and grew up in the Bronx, New York. She was raised by her parents Ethel and John Buckley with her two older sisters, Nancy and Kathy.

Jackie graduated from St. Nicholas of Tolentine High School and also received a diploma from Grace Institutional Secreterial School. She married John Dalton in 1970 and she had one beloved son from this marriage, Jeffrey Dalton. While raising Jeffrey, she attended Queensborough Community College and studied Environmental Technology.
She spent most of her career working as a legal secretary and she last worked as an Office Manager at an engineering firm in NJ before she retired.

In her 20’s, Jackie became a devout Christian. She enjoyed spending time in various church activities and was involved in many different ministries throughout her life. She also had a special place in her heart for the Native American Indian people. She was a lover of cats and Ebony was her close companion.

Later in life, Jackie married again to Michael McGrath the love of her life. They were married for 21 years until she passed away on February 26, 2022 after a tiring journey with Alzheimer's Disease. Jackie passed away peacefully at the Kaplan Family Hospice Center in Newburgh, New York. She is survived by her husband, Michael McGrath of Tom’s River, New Jersey and her son, Jeffrey Dalton and his wife Elenita Dalton of Montgomery, New York and her grandchildren Justin, Donovan and Isabella. Jackie is also survived by her two sisters, Nancy of New York City and Kathy of Virginia. She was predeceased by her parents.

Jackie will be cremated and interned @ Laurel Grove Cemetery in Totowa, New Jersey.

A private memorial service is being planned by the family @ North Jersey Vineyard Church in Hackensack, New Jersey. Please contact the family directly for more information.
