Israel Perez of Middletown NY, died onSaturday, August 17 at Orange Regional Medical Center Middletown, NY. He was 66.
Israel was born on May 30, 1946 in Humacae, Puerto Rico, one of five childrenborn to the late Salvadorand Otilla Diaz Perez.
He worked as a mechanic for Lee ZoldenPlumbing in Middletown.He was originally from Brooklyn, but moved tothe area in 1984. He was always very good with his hands and loved fishing. Hehad a big heart and was very generous. Israel was really good with kids and was never one to get angry. He was stuck in the 50s, loved the oldies and was a friend of Bill Ws.
He is survived by his brother, Rudolph ofMiddletown; sisters: Martha Acosta of Kissimee, FL, Alice Calandro ofSyosset and Sandra Perez of Middletown;many nieces, nephews and some great nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9p.m. on today, Tuesday, August 21 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY.A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt.Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Avenue, Middletown, NY10940. Burial willfollow in St. Joseph's Cemetery in Middletown.
Funeral arrangements are under thedirection Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home.
Visitation hours are from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Tuesday, August 21st at the funeral home
A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 am on Wed., August 22 at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church, 90 Euclid Ave, Middletown.
