Inize McKie of Middletown died on Sunday, March 26, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 67.
The daughter of the late John and Bella Ramatten Jagdeo, she was born on November 17, 1949 in Trinidad, West Indies. Inize married her best friend, Leroy J. McKie in Trinidad on September 25, 1971. They spent 52 years as boyfriend and girlfriend and 45 years married to each other. Inize worked as a C.N.A. at Valley View Nursing Home in Goshen, NY and was a member of St. Joseph’s parish in Middletown.
Inize had a heart of gold, everyone considered her their grandmother. She was generous to a fault and loved to feed people. Throughout her illness, Inize never complained, she was always positive.
In addition to her loving husband Leroy at home; she is survived by her sons, Leroy Jules McKie, Aerik McKie and his wife Noelle all of Miami, FL; and daughters, Geena Saint-Vil and her husband Patrick and Annie Persad, both of Middletown. She is also survived by her brother, Phillip Jagdeo and his wife Veronica; sisters, Nazarene Malcom of Trinidad, Maureen Boodhoo and her husband Ramesh of Orlando, FL and Angaline Kangalee and her husband Eucliff; and three grandchildren, Johsua, Liam and Colin as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents, her twin sister her twin sister, Ina Heeraman; sister, Marcellus; and brother, Clarance.
Visitation will be from 4 to 8 pm on Friday, March 31, 2017 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 am on Saturday, April 1, 2017 at St. Joseph’s Roman Catholic Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY 10940. Burial will follow in the family plot in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Middletown.
