Inge Ruth Muller
August 31, 1937 – May 1, 2024

Inge was born in Copenhagen, Denmark to Ruth Larsen Nielsen and Kristian
Gotlieb Nielsen. Inge married her husband, Steve, in 1959 and they had 3
children; Stefan, John and Zuzanna. In 1965 the family decided to immigrate from
Europe to the United States to start a new life. In 1972 they eventually moved to
and settled in Middletown, NY where Inge and Steve would raise their family. Inge
was a wonderful and loving Mom, raising three loving children.
Shortly after moving to Middletown, Inge started her career working at
Horton Memorial Hospital in Middletown, NY as a Nurse’s Assistant. She
continued her work at Horton Memorial Hospital as an EKG Technician and
eventually as a Stress Lab Technician. She was devoted to her career at the
hospital working with fellow co-workers, doctors and patients. She loved talking
to and helping all of her patients. In 1998 she won the award for Horton Medical
Center Employee of the Year, which made her and her family very proud. In
retirement, Inge volunteered at Garnet Medical Center as a greeter.
She was a very proud woman who loved her family and her native country,
Denmark. She would make yearly trips visiting her homeland and her wonderful
Danish family.
Inge leaves behind her husband, Steve, sons Stefan (Judy), John (Liz) and daughter
Zuzanna (Bob). She also leaves behind her pride and joys, the grandchildren;
Christian, Hannah, Christina, Erik, Kaila and Alexis and 5 great grandchildren. She
also leaves behind a sister-in-law and 2 nieces and other family members in
Denmark. She is predeceased by her brother, Leon, and grandson, Robbie.
She loved us all and will be remembered in our hearts forever. She was one
fantastic Dane!
There will be no visitation as per Inge’s wishes and the family will have a private
celebration of life in the future.
