INES ADINA ROWE “Abuelita”

Middletown, N.Y
Ines A. Rowe passed away peacefully at Park Manor Rehabilitation Center on Friday, May 3, 2013 at the age of 100. She was the daughter of the late Amos and Cindilina Farrier. She was born July 25, 1912 in Cartago Costa Rica.
Ines was affectionately known by all as “Abuelita”. She was a homemaker who labored over her family with love. After leaving Costa Rica in her early 20’s she migrated to the Republic of Panama where she met and married Alfred A. Rowe. Alfred and Ines raised 5 children before his death in 1969. In 1981 she migrated to Middletown N.Y. to help raise her grand children.
Ines had many loves in her life they include her children, helping raise her grandchildren & great grandchildren, birds, cooking, playing the organ, telling stories of her youth and most of all crocheting. She was loved dearly by all and will be terribly missed.
She is survived by 3 Daughters: Silvia Wharton(Norbert) of Panama, Elvia Henry (George) of Middletown, Lidia Rowe of Broooklyn and one son Alfred Rowe (Magdalena) of Brooklyn; 14 grandchildren, 11 great grandchildren, and 10 great great grandchildren along with a host of nieces and nephews in Costa Rica. She was predeceased by her husband Alfred , a son Lewis, 2 sisters and 3 brothers.
Viewing hours are from 9 to 11 a.m. on Thursday May 9, 2013
At St. John’s AME Zion Church, 103 East Ave., Middletown N.Y.
Service will take place at 11 a.m. after viewing. Cremation will be private.
