Obituary for Holly Whipple
Holly Jean Whipple, aged 71, passed away on January 4, 2025, in Middletown, NY, in her home, surrounded by family, after her battle with cancer. She was born on January 31, 1953, also in Middletown, where she was a lifelong resident and well-regarded member of the community.
Holly graduated from Middletown High School and went on to lead a fulfilling career, dedicating 12 years as a manager at Anthem BCBS and 5 years in patient services at Crystal Run Health Care. Known for her generous, caring, warm, and social nature, Holly touched the lives of many around her. Her hobbies included knitting, crocheting, and various other crafts, through which she brought joy and beauty into the world and her home.
Holly is survived by her former husband, Edgar Whipple; daughters, Tonia Covert, Beth Anderson, and Rebecca Acton; grandchildren, Samantha Barnes, Christopher Covert, Jaysen Covert, Christiana Acton, James Acton Jr., Madisyn Hebner, Dale Acton, and Caitlin Acton; great-grandchildren, Alex Covert, Aurora Covert, and Logan Barnes; brothers, David Racine and Tracy Racine. She was preceded in death by her parents, Alfred Racine and Elizabeth Steitz.
Services will be held at Applebee McPhillips in Middletown, NY 10940, January 10th, 2025, visitation is from 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm. Starting at 5:30 pm, family will share memories of Holly. We welcome any flowers that wish to be sent to the funeral home, but please consider donating to the American Cancer Society, in honor of Holly.
