Helen Forney of New Hampton, NY, died peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on May 28, 2012, Memorial Day. She was 91.
The daughter of Stanley and Helen Manko Fredericks, Helen was born on June 17, 1920 in Goshen, NY. She was employed by Calvert Coat Co. where she worked and enjoyed good friends for many years. Mom will always be remembered and forever missed for: her love and devotion to family and especially to her grandchildren, her festive holiday gatherings and her delightful receiving of friends into her home.
She is survived by her children, Katherine Bicskey and her husband, James of Hamburg, NJ; Helen Bishko and David Forney, both of New Hampton; her daughter-in-law, Eileen Forney of Warwick; beloved grandchildren, Caryn Bicskey of Franklin, NJ, James Bicskey of Dingmans Ferry, PA, Joey Bishko of Ashville, NC and Robert Forney of Warwick. She is also survived by her great grandchildren, Trevor and Kyle; brother, Frank of Wappingers Falls; four sisters, Alice, Anna Rose and Tillie of Beacon and Stella of Middletown.
Helen was predeceased by her husband, Leonard in 2003, her son, Robert; son-in-law, Joseph Bishko; grandson, David Forney; and brothers, Stanley, Russell, Benjamin, Alexander and Edward.
Visitation will be held Wednesday, May 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY. A Funeral will be held on Thursday, May 31 at 10 a.m. at the funeral home. Fr. Mark Zittle, O.Carm. will officiate. Interment will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery.

Visitation hours are from 4 to 7 pm 0n Wed., May 30th at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc.
