Helen Crawford, a longtime Middletown area resident, entered into eternal rest on March 9, 2018 at Orange Regional Medical Center in Middletown. She was 87.
The daughter of the late Joseph and Irma Luka Lukaszewicz Schlegel, she was born on February 19, 1931 in Garfield, NJ. Helen married William I. Crawford in 1956. She was predeceased by her husband William I. Crawford, her daughters Patricia, and Christine, and her son William E., as well as her brother Gene Schlegel. She spent her lifetime working as a lab tech at Horton Hospital and local food retailers and was a dedicated and hard worker her entire life.
She is survived by her brother Joe Schlegel and Karen, sister Janet Langlitz and her husband Ellis Sr.;her children, son : John and his wife Cathy and their daughters Kayleigh and Alicia, son James and his wife Debora and their daughters Megan and Amanda; daughter, Susan Rowley and her husband Patrick and their son Brian and son Gerald and his wife June and their children Sydney and Dylan; daughter Barbara and granddaughter Jennifer
Cremation was private, as per Helen's wishes.
She will be buried on May 3, 2018 at 11:00 am in Unionville Cemetery in the family plot.
Donations to the National Multiple Sclerosis Society can be made in Helen's name.
