Hector Kercado, 69, of Middletown died Tuesday, February 22, at ORMC Horton Campus. He was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico to Ralph and Angelina Kercado.
Hector will always be remembered as a terrific husband, father and grandfather. His family was the most important part of his life and he will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Hector is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Irene; his son, Tony and his wife, Tricia of Patterson, NY; his daughter, Michelle Kercado of Stamford, CT; and his beloved granddaughter, Anna. He is also survived by his siblings: George, Gladys Garza, Rachel Mari and Joseph. He is predeceased by his brother, Ralph. Hector is also the endeared uncle of many nieces and nephews.
Visitation hours are from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. on Friday, February 25 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY (www.applebee-mcphillips.com). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 9:30 a.m., February 26, at St. Joseph's Church, 149 Cottage Street, Middletown, NY. Cremation will be private.
