Harvey M. Sutton, a lifetime a retired Territory Manager for Energy Kinetics, passed away following a courageous battle on May 19, 2017 at. He was 72.
The son of the late Harvey and Hazel Muench Sutton, he was born on October 22, 1944 in Middletown, NY. Harvey proudly served his Country during the Vietnam War in the U.S. Airforce. From 1972-1981, Harvey was the Co-owner of State Line Oil. On November 24, 1984, he married the love of his life Karen Dombal.
For the past 35 years, Harvey has devoted his life to his family. He was the most content when he was surrounded by them. Harvey was grateful to share in life’s simplest moments with his wife; family dinners, apple picking, parades, fireworks and just sitting on the back porch enjoying the beauty of the day. He shared with his wife Karen, time and time again, how proud he was of his daughter and son in law for being such fabulous parents. Harvey absolutley cherished the time his “babies”(Emma, Brady and Cole) came bursting through the backdoor yelling, “Bopchi, Papa, we’re here!!” He thoroughly enjoyed listening to his son’s adventures in the woods. Harvey admired Christian’s zeal for the great outdoors. Harvey felt blessed to have the greatest gift of all, love of a family.
In addition to his loving wife Karen at home, and their children, Amy Zabriskie and her husband Glen of Greenville and Christian Sutton at home; he is survived by his son, Retired U.S. Army Captain Jason Sutton and his wife Heather of Spokane, WA; his brother, Paul Sutton and his wife Joan of Unionville; his mother and father in law, Ben and Joann Dombal of Slate Hill; and his grandchildren; Emma, Brady and Cole Zabriskie and Alexis, Alyssa and Jayden Sutton; his faithful companions, Bella and Gus as well as many loving members of his extended family.
He was predeceased by his parents, stepfather Kenneth Lewis and sister Martha Benson.
Visitation is from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Monday, May 22, 2017. A Funeral Service of Remembrance will begin at 8:15 pm on Monday evening at the funeral home which will close with a prayer service conducted by Fr. Michael Palazzo. A Mass will be held at the convenience of the family.
