Harry F. Rotolo, Jr., a life long resident of Middletown, NY and recently of Jansen Beach, FL, entered into rest on December 18, 2017 at Orange Regional Medical Center with his family at his side. He was 75.
Harry was born on Christmas Eve, December 24, 1941 in Middletown, the son of the late Harry and Mildred Slover Rotolo. Harry graduated from Middletown High School , Orange County Community College and Apprenticeship Journeyman School of Electricity at IBEW #363 New City, NY. He joined his father’s electrical business after college and later became president of Harry F. Rotolo and Son Electrical Co. He loved his work and enjoyed helping others. Some of his pleasures in life included joining the Jaycees of Middletown, Eagles #2 Volunteer Fire Co., Mooners Rod and Gun Club and Orange Co. Antique Auto Club, from whom he received the prestigious “Charles Distal” award twice. Being the avid car enthusiast her was, he became a member of the Hudson River Antique Auto Association and the NSRA (National Street Rod Association) in 1987. He and his cousin George started the annual Street Rod and Hot Rod show that occurs in Rhinebeck, NY every year in May. Harry loved to hunt and had great memories of his friends going on great wild hunts out west and else where.

In December of 1961, Harry married his high school sweetheart, Kathleen (Kitty) Kolinski, they shared 56 years of marriage that included having four children, 12 grandchildren and one greatgrandchild with another to be born in March.
Some of his accomplishments outside of his family and business included working for the Town of Wallkill , establishing Water and Sewage Treatment Plants and in the City of Middletown, decorating the City for Christmas, tree lighting; Middletown Waste Water Treatment plant and Thrall Library. Harry also worked on the Horton Hospital addition and renovations and the new schools in Middletown and surrounding areas.
Survivors include his loving wife, Kathleen at home; daughters Vicky and her husband Roy Brachfeld of Middletown and Palm Harbor, FL, and Cynthia Rotolo Anderson of Middletown; sons, Harry F. Rotolo III and his wife Charolette and Craig Rotolo, all of Middletown. He is also survived by his grandchildren, Chad Brachfeld and his wife Jessica Wagner Brachfeld, Jared Brachfeld, Harry (HR) Rotolo IV, Alysha and Alex Rotolo, Andrew Hansen and his fiancee Jenna Ferrier, Harley Anderson, Krysta Lazlo, Raquel, Lexus, Kaitlyn and Chelsea Rotolo, step-grandchildren, Cody, Jacob, Mitchell, Shayna and Hannah; Great-granddaughter, Aubrey; two sisters, Carolyn Long of Virginia, Toni Kindberg and brother-in-law Bill of Bradenton, FL; his loving mother-in-law Rachel Kolinski and his brother-in-law Joseph and wife JoAnn, Aunt Joan Rotolo and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Harry was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Mildred Slover Rotolo, Uncle Sugar (Tony) Rotolo, Uncle Babe (Thomas) Rotolo, cousins Hugh and his beloved, precious Aunt Rose and and Hugh Ward.
Everyone will remember Harry as a hardworking and successful man that was gentle and kind. He loved his family and had a special affection for his lap companion, “Fergie”.
At Harry’s request, his services will be private and at the convenience of his family.
