Obituary for Harold A. Syvertsen, Jr.
Harold Alfred Syvertsen, Jr., a retired systems analyst for Exxon, died Thursday, May 22, 2007 at Orange Regional Medical Center Horton Campus, Middletown. He was 82 years old.
The son of the late Harold A. Syvertsen, Sr. and Ruth Thorstensen Syvertsen, he was born June 30, 1924 in Elizabeth, N.J.
A veteran of WWII, Harold proudly served his country in the United States Navy.
He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Elizabeth J. Syvertsen at home; his children, Laura Yorke and her husband, Bill of Clark, N.J., Robin Rickershauser and her husband, Kim of Middleton, Mass., and Linda Wishe and her husband, John of New Hampton; as well as four grandchildren, Katie, Danny, Ryan and Elizabeth. Harold was predeceased by one brother, Frank Syvertsen.
Family and friends are invited to call from 10-11 a.m. on Thursday, May 24, 2007 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown.
A Funeral Service of Remembrance will begin at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
Burial will follow in the family plot in Wallkill Cemetery, Phillipsburg.
