Halina Danzi, a resident of the area for almost 40 years, died unexpectedly at home on January 7, 2021. She was 63.
The daughter of immigrant parents, Valdimir and Johanna Tugoluko, she was born on October 29, 1957 in Paterson, NJ. She was a hardworking Mom who worked for many years for Middletown Psychiatric Center and later the Richard C. Ward Treatment Center. She earned an early retirement via that hard work and enjoyed filling her time thereafter parenting her 2 Brussels Griffon dogs, lunching with friends, cooking & exploring new recipes, and relaxing with a pink vodka lemonade cocktail from time to time. Her favorite pastimes were spending time with family and her beloved dogs. She adored her family and her grandchildren were most precious to her.
Her untimely death has been devastating to her family, but she leaves beautiful and lasting memories they will cherish.
Halina is survived by her devoted children, Tania and her husband Richard and Christina and her husband Chester, a sister, Nina and her beloved grandchildren, Richard, Alexander, Anastasia and Isaiah as well as several nephews and her dog Francis.
Visitation will be held from 11 am to 1 pm on Tuesday, January 12, 2021 at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home, Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, NY 10940.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Halina’s name be made to Middletown Humane Society which provides animals with great care during their transitional period. https://middletownhumanesociety.com/donate .
