Howard Edward Walsh of Middletown, NY passed away on Monday, May 8,2022. He
was 85 years old. Ed was born on May 27, 1937 in Monroe, NY, the son of the late
Helen Walsh (Rumsey) and John J. Walsh.
After serving in the U.S. Navy, Ed worked for the Ford Motor Company for a number of
years before moving on to work for and retire from the State of New York. Ed was
pre-deceased by his beloved wife, Delia Brower Walsh.
He is survived by two sisters, Anna Post and Joy Walsh, both of Middletown and
several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers, John Walsh, Arthur
Walsh, Charles Walsh and William Walsh; and sisters Margaret Decker, Helen
Bennett, and Florence Maurizzio.
A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, May 15, 2023 at the
Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery in Bloomingburg, NY. In lieu of flowers, it is requested
that memorial contributions be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 2649 South
Road, Suite 101, Poughkeepsie, NY 12601.
Arrangements are under the guidance of Applebee McPhillips Funeral Home,
Middletown NY.
