Gwendolyn Sue Sparks “Sue”
May 12, 1935-January 11, 2023
Gwendolyn Sue Sparks, age 87, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 11, 2023. Sue was born in Middletown, NY on May 12, 1935.
She graduated from Middletown High School and married her high school sweetheart, Harry D. Sparks in 1955. They were blessed with three children.
Sue’s yearbook described her as “Happy go lucky Sue.” She had a positive outlook on life and always saw the good in others. Sue knew how to beautify a home, loved nature, animals and singing. She had a wonderful gift of writing.
Sue worked as a Savings Counselor at First Federal Savings for 20 years and had written several retirement speeches to honor her associates for the bank.
She was an active member of Circleville Church. She lived a life of faith.
Sue was predeceased by her husband Harry in 2008. Sue will be deeply missed by her daughter; Linda Sparks, sons; Glenn Sparks and his wife Joann and Christopher Sparks, three grandchildren; Peter Sparks, David Sparks and Amy Sparks.
A private family service will be held in the summer.
