Guy R. Eherts, a lifetime Middletown resident, died on Thursday December 30 at ORMC Horton Campus in Middletown. He was 68.
The son of the late Eveline Gross and Herbert Leon Eherts, he was born on May 21, 1941 in Middletown. He loved playing the guitar and both writing and singing songs. He was a very talented musician with a beautiful voice.
Guy is survived by his sons, Mark and his companion Debbie of Dingmans Ferry, PA and Guy and his companion, Cherie of Bloomingburg; daughters, Kelly Lynn, Michelle and her fiancé Greg of Nashville, TN; his stepdaughter Debra Cabrera and her family; his devoted sister, Sandra Mitchell and her husband Thomas of Walker Valley; his best buddy and loving cousin, Wilbur Gross of Middletown; grandchildren, Kyle, Nicholas, ALexis; and nieces Jodie Pillius Goebel of Riverview, FL and Thomasina Mitchell Giddings of Hopewell Junction.
He was predeceased by his mother, Eveline Robbins, his father Herbert, his brother George and stepson Jim.
A Graveside Service will be held on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 11 am Bloomingburg Rural Cemetery, Rt. 17M, Bloomingburg, NY.
Guy's family is deeply grateful to Dr. Liby Mathew, Dr. Patel and nurse Joyce Lyons for the excellent care they provided him during his illness.
