Greta Marie Still
January 10, 1959-August 9, 2021
Greta Still, a longtime resident of Middletown, New York, passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family after a seven year courageous battle with cancer. She was 62 years old. The daughter of John and Ann Nieuwenhusien, she was born in January 10, 1959 in Suffern, New York.
She was a graduate of SUNY Orange Nursing. She spent her life as a dedicated Register Nurse at Orange Regional MedicalCenter until she retired in 2015. Her greatest joy in life was becoming a “Grammy” to her grandsons.
Greta is survived by her loving husband of 41 years Michael, son, Michael R. Still and his wife Teresa, daughter, Jennifer Younghans and her husband Raymond Younghans, daughter Patricia Pineda and her husband Carlos, Grandchildren Zachary, Matthew, Landon and Owen , Sisters Laura Gaugler and Kara Butenhoff, and sister-in-law Kathy Still.
She is predeceased by her father John Nieuwenhuisen and granddaughter Grace Still.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 12, 201 from 1 to 3P.M. and 5 to 7 P.M. at Applebee-McPhillips Funeral Home Inc., 130 Highland Avenue, Middletown, New York , A funeral service will take place at the funeral home on Friday, August 13 at 11 A.M.
In lieu of Flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Oncology Nurses of Orange and Sullivan Counties.
